Privacy Policy

This policy explains what the Firexport feedback board at feedback.firexport.dev collects about you, why, and what we do with it. It covers this board only.

What we collect

• Account details. When you sign in with Google or GitHub, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from that provider. If you sign up with an email and password instead, we store your email, the name you enter, and a hash of your password — never the password itself.
• What you post. Feedback posts, comments, votes, reactions, and any images you upload.
• Session data. Each sign-in records the IP address and browser user-agent it came from, so we can show you your active sessions and detect abuse.

We do not collect payment details, and we do not run advertising or third-party analytics trackers on this board.

How we use it

• To sign you in and keep you signed in.
• To publish your posts and comments on the board and attribute them to you.
• To notify you about activity on feedback you wrote or subscribed to.
• To decide what to build next, and to prevent spam and abuse.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.

Cookies

We set a session cookie to keep you signed in, and a cookie that remembers your language choice. Both are necessary for the board to work; we set no advertising or tracking cookies.

Who else processes your data

• Cloudflare — hosting, content delivery, and storage of uploaded images.
• Our database provider — stores accounts and board content.
• Google and GitHub — only when you choose to sign in with them, and only to confirm who you are.
• OpenAI — post and comment text may be sent for duplicate detection and changelog drafting when those features are enabled on this board.

How long we keep it

Account data is kept for as long as your account exists, and session records expire on their own. Posts and comments are not deleted automatically along with an account — when you ask us to delete your account, tell us whether you want what you wrote removed as well, and we will remove it.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, or delete your account and its content. Write to jerry@firexport.dev and we will respond within a reasonable period.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update the effective date above and, where the change affects how we use data you already gave us, tell you on the board before it takes effect.
